Honey Mahogany is a multi-talented artist, fierce drag queen, and passionate activist who has made a significant impact on the San Francisco drag scene and beyond. With her captivating performances, unique style, and unwavering dedication to social justice, she has become a beloved figure in the LGBTQ+ community.

Honey Mahogany, whose real name is James "Jamey" Mitchell, burst onto the national stage as a contestant on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Her magnetic presence, powerful voice, and striking looks captured the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning her a place in the hearts of many fans. Beyond her television appearances, she cemented her status as a force to be reckoned with in the drag world, seamlessly blending traditional drag artistry with her own personal style.

However, Honey Mahogany's impact goes far beyond her artistic talents. She is a dedicated advocate for social justice, using her platform to address issues of racial and gender inequality and fight for LGBTQ+ rights. In 2017, she co-founded the Compton's Transgender Cultural District in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood, an initiative aimed at preserving the history and culture of the transgender community. This groundbreaking project recognizes the struggles and resilience of transgender individuals and provides a safe and supportive space for their voices to be heard.

Honey's activism extends to broader advocacy efforts as well. She has been involved in campaigns for racial justice and transgender rights, raising awareness about the challenges faced by marginalized communities and working to create a more inclusive and equitable society.  In 2021, she was elected as the first Black and transgender chair of the San Francisco Democratic Party, and continues to use her platform to uplift and empower marginalized voices and promote inclusivity.
