London

We’re still swooning from Erdem’s collaboration with hand-painted wallpaper company de Gournay last season. The Montreal-born designer designed a wallpaper to fit the London company’s iconic Chinoiserie signature.

The botanical scenes featuring flocks of birds and stunning flowers were rendered on silk and stitched into impossibly romantic tiered gowns, skirts and tops. We’re holding our breath for an encore – Please sir, we’d love some more!

While celebrating his 15th year in business, Erdem Moralioglu received an unexpected honour from the Queen. The 43 year old designer was awarded a prestigious MBE (Member, Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for his services to the fashion industry. His romantic designs, known for their captivating floral prints, have been worn by global trend setters including the Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle to Michelle Obama and Nicole Kidman.

“I have been truly privileged to be able to do what I love whilst building an independent British label,” he said in a press release. “I can’t think of a more wonderful way to celebrate my 15th anniversary.”
